We bought this to replace two smaller chest freezers. There is plenty of room inside and it's also nice that you don't need to dig through it to find stuff at the bottom. You just open the door and find what you want! We like that the shelves are made of metal and also has shelves on the door for additional storage. So far we are impressed with this upright freezer.

To make a long story short last April I had purchased an what I'll call an "off brand" Garage Ready Freezer and 2 wks before Christmas it decided to stop freezing. Trying to be a savvy customer I did some research and found Frigidaire brand is over 100 years old and owned by Electrolux. I should have saved myself money and bought this freezer with the Frigidaire label on it last April! I'm confident it will live up to the brand and the company that owns Frigidaire - Electrolux. We got it home late in the afternoon and by that evening we were able to move what hadn't thawed out into our new Frigidaire 16cu freezer. Two days later now I can open the door and everything is froze solid as it should be. The one added detail I like is it has a sound it makes if the door is left ajar and love that there's a green light lit underneath to show it has power. Thank you.

Bought this to replace a smaller very old chest freezer in our garage. Perfect for our needs. Shelving is heavy duty and has a few different location options. The bottom bin is large and easily slides in and out. The door space is just right for those smaller items. It cooled down very quickly!! The lighting is very good and the alarm does sound if you leave the door open however I'm not sure I'd hear it in the house. A great freezer so far and I believe that Frigidaire has a great reputation and products.

It is too early to give a definitive review but thus far it is excellent. I do like the fact that it was already set to the preferred, recommended temp. It is super easy to change, if desired, but I like the "turn-it-on and let it be" approach.

Efficient storage space, easy to find things. Going from chest freezer to this upright - it's a huge time-saver, finding things and knowing what you have. Not too large so does not take up a ton of space. Feels like a quality freezer, shelving and all. Keeping things plenty frozen at recommended temp setting. Door alarm is an added bonus. Happy with this freezer.

Very nice freezer with nice door storage. I like that it has a LED indicator showing power is on. It comes with a door alarm for the door not fully closing as well as a internal temperature increase alarm. Interestingly it also has a Sabbath setting feature.

Our Frigidaire of nearly 20 years started failing suddenly and we immediately agreed we were going back to the same brand. We were able to find a similar unit at a great price point at Home Depot. So far it looks and is operating as designed. I just hope we get 20 years out of this one.

after 1.5 years the compressor stopped working. Electrolux is offering us 30% off a new compressor so that is $299 and then a repairman will cost us another 600 to repair the freezer. His travel time is a few hours because we live remotely. So we are out the food that thawed too. This is a loss to us that is just not acceptable. The quality is lacking. I can't believe this is an American made product. I believed Fridgidaire was a household name brand. Not anymore. This has turned out to be cheap junk.

Installation was ok. They couldn't actually install as there was old copper pipe. So I had to get it done. So they just put it on place. The fridge is great. Works like it's supposed to. The doors don't close unless you force them. Even with them being on a slope. So if you just let it go like usual they will remain open. It doesn't come with an egg holder... What???. Will see durability after 5 years I guess.
