Terrible Fit to the Spacing, no Fix

The oven works just fine. We purchased the oven and installed it ourselves. We bought it from Best Buy and the oven included a Fit Guarantee. We installed the oven without any issues and it works well. However, the oven is about 1/4" too small on both sides of the cabinets. I called many, many times to request assistance on this matter. I was eventually mailed a "fit kit" which wound up being instead a part of the actual oven sides instead of something to assist with those side spaces. After having a technician being sent from Kitchenaid, I was told that there was no fix by the technicians. I called back Kitchenaid again and was told that the issue with the fit is due to my cabinet issue and not something that they will fix. So, now I am a proud owner of an oven that really does not look great and the company provided a guarantee that does not actually assist with the fit of the oven. Additionally, we purchased this to go with our Kitchenaid microwave, same style. The oven and the microwave must show the time (according to the technician, you cannot turn one or both off) and they are always slightly off from one another. Additionally, they are different fonts and "looks" so it does not look very plush. We did purchase them about 5 years apart but that also was quite disappointing.

Mine blew up. Shattered glass. My dog had just walked under the oven. Loved this oven until it blew up. KA™€™s response- you got 10 years of use out of it. KA won™€™t replace. I bought KA so I would have 20-30 years of good use. After numerous phone calls and transfers with KA corporate I received a % discount and told I was lucky to get that.

Hello KitchenAid Team, for one I have to say please..please get your act together here. I searched entire website and called so many parts places. And to my horror you do not sell parts for Microwave - in Summary I have new build house like less then 4yrs old , and all KitchenAid appliance, take real serious look at you appliances parts strategy. Both Built-In microwave and Oven in a span of few weeks both died. Oven is costing me $450.00 to repair (parts) and still waiting for parts and Microwave is basically throwaway and have to buy new and open $800 for new one and installation. Really this makes to you wonder, should by your product. Prior house had Kenmore appliance for like over 15yrs and zero issue. I have to spend over 1K every 3yrs for your product really!!!!

Past year getting error code every time I open it.

Like the 1star review below, I had been getting the same error code every time I open the oven when it is at temp for the past few months, and now it shut down completely (nothing on the display at all, totally black). The steam escapes and shorts out the fuse (I'm guessing??). I turned off the breaker and tried to restart it with no change. I have reached out to Kitchen aid and have been on hold for 2 hours, still have not spoken with a human. This was an expensive oven, and it is very disappointing that it has not lasted even 2 years

BUYER BEWARE! I want my money back.

I want my money back. This is the worst purchase Ive ever made. Since the moment the oven was installed we have had nothing but problems. Kitchen aid/whirlpool does not take any accountability. I was pregnant when this was installed and the moment we turned on the oven it was emitted toxic fumes and we had to evacuate the house. We were told the oven just needed to cure and it would go away but this went on for a total of at least 20 hours (we had to turn the oven on to 400 degrees on 10 different occasions to get the fumes finally low enough to actually cook). We even hired someone out of pocket to check the oven out.. install was correct and there was nothing wrong they could figure out. Another $200 out of my pocket. Now every time steam billows out of the oven it makes an error code and the oven continuously beeps until we turn the breaker off. So every time I try to braise or just cook something in general the oven malfunctions. I hate this oven. Give me my money back please.

Two months old and has an Error Code

We've owned multiple Kitchenaid products and this experience has been the WORSE! Our wall oven is only two months old and maybe used 10 times and it has an error code needing a new control board. We are now without an oven for 1.5 weeks until the repair appointment and that doesn't even guarantee the fix when they come. Who wants to replace a control board when it's only two months old. I have spent 2.5 hours on hold and being passed around with customer service for no resolution.

We purchased two of these ovens several months ago. While the one in the island is rarely used (the holidays are around the corner so it will be soon), the one on the wall is in use almost daily. Love the blue interior and that it has two lights for easy viewing through the glass. Great units that I'd recommend to anyone.

I have Kitchen Aid appliances in my Canadian home so when we bought another home in Florida I wanted the same appliances. They work great, never any problems, they look really nice and work the way they are supposed to. Came with a new home. 18 months in there is a recurring screen error that requires me to cut power to the oven to get it working again. Warranty was only one year, kitchen aid was no help and now I™€™m looking at very expensive out of pocket repair cost. I would expect better quality from kitchen aid.

I™€™ve always had gas ovens since I moved out to start college. We recently remodeled our kitchen and had all new KitchenAid appliances installed. I went with an electric wall oven. It far exceeded my expectations. Not only does it cook evenly, now, 52 years since I last used an electric oven, I have fallen in love with this one. Since it™€™s in the wall now, this 70 year old body doesn™€™t have to bend so low to remove baked goods from the oven!

It has been a month now and I have received no follow up whatsoever, not even an acknowledgement of my email. Is this just a way to defuse the disappointment of unhappy customers?

Takes for ever to preheat!

We bought a new apartment which came with this beautiful KitchenAid blue oven. We were excited as we had KitchenAid ovens in our previous house and were very happy with them. However this one presents two issues: 1 - it takes for ever to pre heat - I measured 20 minutes to get to 300F, and 30 minutes to get to 425F - which appears extremely long to us. Our smaller ovens used to preheat in only 10 minutes to 450F. 2 - the temperature does not seem to hold - like other reviewers, I found that if I cancel a bake say at 350 and restart it, the temperature it shows at restart is more like 285. We called an appliance repair person who said that the oven was functioning as designed, and that this was resulting from the oven not having a bottom heating element. Is that correct??

Great Oven!

It took a little while to get use to such an efficient oven but once I did it is great! Our only problem has been getting a maintenance plan for it and the rest of our new Kitchen Aid appliances. Website does not work and no one will answer the telephone even after 50 rings. We have tried this on several occasions. With on success to date. I bought this oven the first week in October2020. I have used it 3 times. I noticed small flakes at the bottom of my oven, after looking at the flakes closely I realized the interior of my oven was flaking off. After researching I found this to be a BIG problem with this oven. If I had known about this problem I would have purchased a different brand. I™€™m pretty disappointed and will probably never buy a Kitchenaid appliance ever again

Gets hot fast & keeps temperature stable.

We've been using this oven for a month. Typical usage for us include baking and oven roasting. We've been please to see that the oven gets hot fast and keeps temperature stable.

Had this wall oven for 3 months. Had to have tech come out twice since oven lost power both times. The worst customer experience I've ever had in dealing with a business. It was purchased at Lowes and they deflect any responsibility & pass it onto the Manufacturer. When you call KitchenAid I experienced the following: - Sitting on hold for more than 45 mins (3 different times & disconnected on two of those occasions) & never make contact on the third. - Forced to use their live chat to convey the issues, and that ends up going nowhere. - When you finally get a hold of someone they're just following a script, and can't think for them selves, or offer any relevant solutions (usually recommending you to contact another number or department). - I called at 6pm EST on a Thursday Nov 26 and received "we're now closed for the day" reply even though their website indicates you can call between 9am-7pm Est (Wed-Fri). How difficult is it to keep a customer informed on what's going on? How about providing an ETA on spare parts, relaying issues in sourcing parts, etc? A little communication goes a long way, and I most likely would have been more reasonable and understanding than having to write a bad review. This oven will be returned, and poor experience will be shared with all via Social Media. BE BETTER KITCHENAID/WHIRLPOOL!!!!!!!

Doesn™€™t hold temperature when baking

I purchased this wall oven along with a kitchen aid commercial freestanding range. I love to bake and since the range has 1.5 ovens, I needed an extra full size to fit my baking needs. I am so disappointed in the wall unit! It has not held temperature since my purchase. I™€™ve tried multiple times to adjust the temperature to correct the problem. Nothing helps. It does not hold the temperature and has ruined countless hours of baking. I™€™m very disappointed as I love the range ovens. I would not purchase from kitchen aid again. This is unacceptable for an oven. I can™€™t even use it for a casserole or a side dish...I have no idea when the dish will be finished cooking! Such a disappointment!

Kitchenaid Single Wall Oven

My previous oven was a Viking. I hated this oven as it would never keep temperature. We had it repaired at least six times and it cost over $1800 in repairs. The NEW Kitchenaid is great. It provides an external temperature and prompts us when the oven reaches temperature. We can now cook or bake at even temperatures and eveything works great!

I give this oven 4 stars only because the racks don™€™t slide out as easily as I would like. Bakes well and no problem with uneven temperatures. Control board easy to work with. Overall a nice oven. Have been using for 6 mos now.
