Had a Maytag for about 22 years decided to try a Whirlpool which was a big mistake, only had the Whirlpool for a little over 5 years and the motor quit on the spin cycle had a repair man come in said it would cost between $500 and $600 to repair, so we decided to get a new washer for that price and we are very happy we did, this new Maytag washer is the bomb. I highly recommend this washer, I trust the Maytag name they are made to last. If you buy a Whirlpool you may as well take it to the junk yard as soon as you but it. Maytag gets alot of thumbs up.

We bought this washer about a month ago. They've changed washers now. There's this auto sensing to automatically dispense water. It makes a lot of weird noises. It was pretty different and we weren't used to it. Sometimes we would come back to check on the clothes and it would not be doing anything. Likely due to an unbalanced load. Would have to stop it and restart it. It does somehow fixes the load itself. Eventually we got used to it. It helps to read the manual to know about the washer. Made me feel better after reading the manual. Just got to get used to it

I like the size as it's bigger than my previous one. It's quiet. Clothing always come out linty. It's more visible on dark clothing. I stopped using the powdered detergent as the clothing always came out with white soap still on it. I always use the deep water wash option as I want a good wash but it still happens. Each wash takes about an hour or more. Clothing come out VERY wrinkled even on the wrinkle cycle. I miss my old machine. Less issues. Sorry but not to happy.

We have had Maytag washer/dryer sets for many years. Because of moving out of state, we had to purchase another set. Would never buy Maytag again. Each load of clothes is twisted into knots when the load is completed. I have tried most of the cycles and they are all the same. Also, the water level is so low, the clothes still have detergent on them unless I choose deep water cycle. Our loads are small since I wash every other day and there is only two of us here. No stress on washer from being overloaded. One more issue, the noisiest machine we have ever had. It was a big mistake buying thIs machine.

Truly, you don't need "hands" to work this washer. It does nearly everything automatic. My clothes have never been cleaner and most important, I can use the washer and drift off to sleep...it is really quiet.

After using our new washer about 6 weeks, we are ready to tell what a great machine it is. Lots of easy to interpret knobs, with easy to understand instruction under the lid, gives us the cleaning our clothes need. The automatic, correct, water level sensing adds to the economy of the low cost of this washer.

Simple, yet does the job
